I found this recipe in a Japanese cooking mag and changed it a little to make it lowfat (sort of).

Clam Chowder Lite
1 pound box steamer clams from Trader Joe’s
1/2 med onion
1 regular sized potato
2 carrots
2 slices nitrate/nitrite free turkey bacon
2 Tbsp. butter
1 cup fat free milk
5 cups water
